Project Fly Fishing Lapland
There are lots of opportunities to develop fishing tourism in Finland. Natural elements are within the reach of good traffic connections. In the Northern Finland there are a great amount of fantastic rivers and brooks with pure fish populations. Grayling, Brown Trout, Arctic Char, White Fish and The Crown Holder – Atlantic/Baltic Salmon are the wildest fighters of which a sport fisherman can only dream about.
The aim of the project is to work side by side with companies which are truly committed to develop their fishing services and to seek marketing channels for participians. Also during the year 2007 will find and map out good fly fishing pools on the area. In first phase we concentrate on Finnish Southern and Western Lapland. The project started at April 1st, 2006 and project manager started his work on August 1st , 2006. The companies which are engaged to the project provide services we can recommend.
